I remember one day in April 2020. I had a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old who I was triple feeding. Breastfeeding/bottle feeding both donor milk and formula. Fighting PPA and on what felt like day 2000 of the pandemic. My husband asked what was for dinner and I said. Fridge hunt. Hunt and gather whatever you want.

Fridge hunt, I love it! Sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do!

I love this Kathy. It reminds me of how I felt with my first born. Now, I think back to that scared new mother and wife and send her time-traveling hugs as I feed my three children leftovers for dinner and snuggle them on the couch, watching too much television after school because that's what we all needed in that moment. Sending you hugs, too, from Northeast Florida. The whole motherhood thing is as confusing and daunting to me as it is you. You're doing an amazing job.

My goodness Bethany that visual is amazing! How I aspire to be that kind of mother three kiddos in, where I revel in the simplicity of it all rather than getting hung up by all the “should’s” and “should not’s”. Glad to know that no one has this “motherhood” thing down pat and we’re all figuring it out together. Thank you, Bethany and I’m sending you hugs back from Central Florida!

I still miss working, and I’ve been a SAHM for over 8 years! It’s such a hard transition, and while I’m more settled now, my youngest is nearing school age so I’m starting to reevaluate things again. Good for you trying to make fancy meals! I’m a spaghetti and taco mom myself!

Wow, thank you for sharing Lindsay! It must be interesting feeling settled into this season now to only be approaching the next one. That’s tricky! I’m trying to have more peace accepting that motherhoods’ seasons come in ebbs and flows. And hey, you can’t go wrong with spaghetti or tacos! Both sound good to me any day of the week!
