Wow - the line about your mom mothering you while you mother just gutted me! I have had two health scares with my kids and my mom carried me through both. ❤️

This was so beautiful it made me cry. This line in particular: “All I can think to pray on our way across town is, help us.” Most parents have been there or will be there.

I loved this story the first time I read it, and I love it still! So rich and lovely.

This made me cry. I have been so blessed with very healthy children, but the few times we have found ourselves in the hospital or stuck on the couch together with sickness, I am amazed how time slows, others step up to fill in the gap, and the child soaks up the attention of mom. I love the idea to look for the "graces". Thanx for this.

I am VERY late to the game on reading this, but I just have to comment how beautiful this story is! I think his fond memories from the hospital points to the presence that you were for him during that time. He knew he was never alone!

The title is so clever that after reading and digesting it, I went back to the top to find the perfect one. Mom moments all around...well done.
