This line stood out to me as well! As a fellow (young) cancer survivor, Melanie’s essay brought back all the good and icky feels.

Even though I don’t have breast cancer, could relate to this as my daughter is currently in treatment for leukemia. You’re not kidding when you say it’s scary to think about chemo hitting the bloodstream and how powerful it is.
