My goodness does this ever hits home. My current four year old has been the same, a difficult baby turned toddler turned preschooler. I’m waiting for the day that wearing socks aren’t a meltdown and someone in his seat at the table isn’t a serious offence.
currently in the midst of a slower approach to potty training after an attempt at the three day method turned my 2 1/2 year old into a melting toddler at the slightest thing. right there with you on the desire for instantaneous change, so thank you for the reminder that the good stuff takes time.
