I'm a single mom so I find it hard to celebrate myself. It's hard to take your kid shopping for yourself and it's even harder to say hey I just need a day to myself.
Since I found you guys I've been throwing motherhood brunches and that's what fills my cup. I moved just over 2 years ago and am finally finding my tribe here. So this year I'm throwing my first brunch in 2 years!
I also hope my son makes me a picture or craft with his grandma this weekend, that would make my mama heart full too.
I bought my own mom the I want to know your story mom book, similar to the one you ladies listed and I'm so excited about it, she's very sentimental and I think she'll love it, especially after the passing of her own mom this year. It's going to be really special for her to pass something so profound on to me when she fills it up.
I'd totally take a hot uninterrupted bath or a night of sleep without my kiddo in my bed 🤣 but for now I'll enjoy the little moments until he's too big to snuggle up 💙
I told my husband I wanted my kids to get me one of those big Lego flower bouquet sets. Would love to do those legos with them on Mother’s Day and put them up somewhere in the house :)
I love this! On my wish list: a new workout skort, gorjana gold huggie earrings (because I somehow lost my fave pair 🥹), a new bag strap and a solid chunk of kid-free quiet time 😜
I'm eyeing a linen dress from Quince. I've never bought anything from them before! I'm going to NYC for a few days in June and want some fresh pieces that I'll feel good in. Give me all the clothing recommendations!
I’m loving the idea of the alarm clock. After listening to your tech episode and reading Stolen Focus, I really want to start leaving my phone downstairs at night. I am curious- if any of you have personal experience with that clock, can you set different alarms for different days of the week?
Yes! I don’t think there’s a way to “program” different days if that’s what you mean? But I set a different alarm each night, depending on what time I need to wake up the next morning 😜 same with our coffee maker. We adjust the time every night to whatever it needs to be the following morning.
My nextdoor neighbor gave me this idea. She spends the day gardening and planting her annuals. Last year I went to the garden center and picked out a few things. Then, I spent the afternoon gardening. It was lovely and I hope to be outdoors and alone again this year.
I've been trying to track down the bathrobe that Jill was raving about a year or two ago. Is there a previous list with a link to it somewhere? I haven't been able to dig it up yet. 🙂

You are worth celebrating, Ashley! ❤️ I love that you’re hosting a brunch and finding a way to connect with friends!

That is such a sweet idea, Julie.

I can personally attest that Quince's linen dresses are great! Have one and another is on my wishlist.
Just ordered a linen jumpsuit from Quince and another cashmere sweater! I have their linen duvet cover and it has held up so well!

If you get the Hatch version of that alarm clock, you can program different alarms for different days in the app.
This just be the difference between the real thing and the dupe 😂
😂😂😂

That does sounds like such a beautiful way to spend the day!

Last year in our Mother's Day Gift Guide we feature the Parachute robe. Maybe that's what you're thinking about? www.parachutehome.com/search?query=robe
I remember purchasing socks from the same brand when she was raving about it. I just looked it up and if I’m right it was “Barefoot Dreams”
