Not mentioned in this essay are all the fights we have gotten into over the projects he completes for other people so no, sorry 😂😂

Loved this Molly! Hard relate. To both the jack-of-all trades husband (with the lengthy projects) and the relational score keeping 😅

Loved this essay, Molly! As a relational scorekeeper(🫣) married to a can-do handyman, I relate veeeery much. It’s nice to know the spare-time-usage arguments aren’t only at my house.🙃

V. relatable, Molly! I'm also married to a handyman. Thankfully, because I cannot fix most things. 😂

This is my life, and I read this essay out to my own “Jake” 😂 I completely understand the tension of time commodity and balancing work and play.

Molly, I love this essay! In our last house, my husband would frequently use the phrase, “It’s a weekend project.” One of these “weekend projects” was our one and only bathroom remodel. And I may have blocked it out of my memory now, but I am pretty sure it took us three months, including a weekend in a hotel. You are not alone!

hahahaha yes you get it. We also have many projects that just remain unfinished. The amount of holes in our walls is astonishing 😂
