This was a lovely read. Friendships in motherhood can be complex and fleeting because we are so mired in the daily grind. I love the description of likely seeing each other in the grocery store vs. their own front yards because of the responsibilities we hold to run our families. Friendships change and they are supposed to! What a great reminder to sit and make time for your friends.

Loved this essay on friendship. Too true and relatable! Also, picked up all of the ingredients for Sarah’s chowder recipe today. Can’t wait to make it!

I related to Melanie's words on motherhood friendship so much...I had to laugh at how interrupted her time with her friend was because I felt the *same* way this week with a friend. What can we do but just keep eating the cake? Love it. Thank you so much for the shout-out, too. I'm eagerly adding so many of these books/recipes/essays to my "to be read/made" list!

Once again, Melanie Dale nails it! I sympathize, finding girlfriend time at all has been a challenge recently. Always look forward to the newsletter and digesting it a little bit at a time. Speaking of digestion...Sarah’s soup has become my husband’s favorite 😍 it is the ultimate comfort food on a cold day!
