Thank you for sharing a part of your story. I love the inspiration of your morning routine and find that I am a much better wife and mother when I wake early and allow myself some time in peace before the day begins. I also love the story about balance, a very illusive concept in my mind and something I stopped chasing in the past year. Each day is different, some hard, some easy and some in the middle. Life doesn't have to be balanced to be wonderful...
I love the verbiage shift from balance to stewardship. Perfect balance is impossible to find! (Although that doesn’t stop me from trying some days 😏) Stewardship feels a lot more in line with how the Bible calls to be faithful, in each day, with whatever God puts on our plates. He is still growing my flexibility muscle!! 💪🏼
Coffee + Crumbs/Risen Motherhood have been two of the biggest saving graces to me in my 9 years of motherhood and it’s such a joy to see women shouting from the rooftops about other women 💛 I esp loved the wisdom about seeking stewardship over balance--gold! ✨
Wow, this was a delight to read. I was just listening to an old episode of Risen Motherhood podcast an hour ago, and it's great to put a face to the name! I've just started rising before my 1.5 year old daughter at 5:45 or 6am to spend time with the Lord and journal/read before getting into the day (this is a big feat for me and shows me the grace of God since I've struggled to do this for years!). It's really encouraging to hear your daily rhythms and how much you love waking up early (4:45 is LEGIT early haha) and how you make it a priority even with all you have going on. Thanks for your example and encouragement! Love when you said that habits aren't the ultimate, that we worship Christ and He gives us joy, even in the times our routines get interrupted. Sending love from Atlanta! <3
Look at you getting up early! That is not easy with a 1.5 year old. You're doing it! We are thrilled we get to help put a face to the name - Laura is a friend and an inspiration. Big fans of Risen Motherhood over here.❤️
Stewardship > Balance. Love, love, love, and a message I needed today.
Thank you friend! And thank you for having me here. It's an honor. ♥️

Yes, Jennifer! We love how Laura pointed out "knowing balance is so hard to find, I stopped looking for it. Instead, I seek stewardship."❤️
